Kenneth Lorenzo Smallwood, a 20-year-old resident of Norfolk, Virginia, tragically lost his life on September 6, 2011. The incident occurred at the Southland Apartment Complex on Fort Worth Avenue, where Smallwood was shot by a Norfolk police officer during a confrontation. According to reports, the police were responding to a call about a car break-in when they encountered Smallwood. The situation escalated, leading to the fatal shooting.
