On the evening of February 26, 2025, 18-year-old African American male Delanio Maurice Vick Jr. was fatally shot in a parking lot near the Broderick Dining Commons on the campus of Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. Another young man, 20-year-old African American male Timothy G. Williams Jr., also from Norfolk, was critically injured in the same incident.
