Jhanari Robinson, a 19-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on April 8, 2019, in Chicago, Illinois. Jhanari, affectionately known as "Nari," was standing with another man in the 6500 block of South Oakley when a dark-colored vehicle drove by, and someone inside fired shots. Jhanari was struck in the head and died at the scene. The other man, aged 22, was shot in the abdomen and was treated at the University of Chicago Medical Center.
