In the quiet neighborhood of Campostella Heights in Norfolk, Virginia, a grim discovery was made on the evening of June 26, 2012. Inside a home in the 500 block of Sycamore Street, police found the bodies of two men, both victims of a fatal shooting. One of the men was Marcel Collins Russell, a 42-year-old Black/African American male. He was found alongside 46-year-old Christopher Alexander. Both men had been shot, and their deaths were quickly classified as homicides.
