Karen Swanson Yee, aged 48, tragically passed away on February 18, 2013, in Penhook, Virginia. Karen was a well-known and beloved member of her community, actively involved in various local organizations and environmental causes. She was married to Dr. Kim Yee for 17 years, and together they co-owned the Penhook Boat Dock. Karen was also a devout Christian and a dedicated animal advocate, having served on the Danville Humane Society Board of Directors.
