In the summer of 2013, a young man's life was tragically cut short on the streets of South Richmond. Samuel Lee Washington, a 20-year-old male, was shot and killed on the evening of Wednesday, August 7, 2013. The incident unfolded near the intersection of German School and Deter Roads, a location approximately one mile from Washington's home on Larrymore Road.
