Malik D. Banks

In the early afternoon of a Saturday in April 2019, the sound of gunfire shattered the peace in the 1300 block of Coalter Street in Richmond, Virginia. When the echoes faded, a young life had been tragically cut short. Responding to reports of random gunfire at approximately 12:59 p.m. on April 13th, Richmond Police officers arrived at an apartment building to make a grim discovery. There, in a staircase, they found the body of 21-year-old Malik D. Banks. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
