On a tragic Saturday night, October 19, 2013, the life of 40-year-old George Redmon Jr. was cut short in a violent act that also claimed the life of another man. The double murder unfolded on Richmond's Southside, leaving a family and community in mourning. George was a male resident of Richmond, Virginia at the time of his passing. The incident marked the second time his father, George Redmon Sr., had tragically lost a son to gun violence.
