In the closing days of November 2016, a burst of gunfire on Richmond's Southside tragically cut short the life of 24-year-old Javar Mayo. The shooting, which occurred on November 30, 2016, also left another individual wounded. Mayo, a male resident of Richmond, Virginia, succumbed to his injuries the following day, on December 1, 2016.
