On September 6, 1936, four-year-old Joseph Rodriguez disappeared from Manhattan, New York, a case that would become one of the New York Police Department's oldest unsolved mysteries. That day, Joseph's aunt and primary caregiver, Pauline Rodriguez, had left him in the care of a neighbor. The neighbor took Joseph down the street to play with other children in the early afternoon. When the neighbor went to check on him later, he was gone. Joseph has not been seen or heard from since.
