In the quiet neighborhood of Richmond's Near West End, a grim discovery was made on the morning of May 20, 2023. Just before noon, at approximately 11:54 a.m., Richmond Police were dispatched to the 4500 block of Hanover Avenue after receiving a report of a person down. In an alleyway, they found the unresponsive body of a man inside a residential disposal container. The man, later identified as 36-year-old Walter Robinson III of Richmond, was pronounced dead at the scene.
