In the late summer of 2015, the community of Richmond, Virginia, was shaken by the discovery of a beloved local man's untimely death. Almon L. Winston, a 37-year-old Black male, was found deceased on August 22, 2015. His body was discovered by an individual who was out walking their dog, a grim beginning to a case that would leave many questions unanswered. The cause of his death was determined to be from gun violence.
