In the early morning hours of June 7, 2022, the quiet of a Richmond, Virginia neighborhood was broken by a grim discovery. Jermarcus Taylor, a 37-year-old male, was found unresponsive in an alley in the Gilpin Court area. Police had been called to the 300 block of West Charity Street at approximately 7:28 a.m. for a report of a person down. Upon arrival, they located Taylor, who was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
