In the late summer of 2015, a quiet Newport News, Virginia, neighborhood was disrupted by a tragic discovery that left a community in mourning and a family seeking answers that have yet to come. On August 29th, 20-year-old Nickeia Hunter, a Black female from Hampton, was found dead inside a home on Wickham Avenue. She was not alone; with her was 16-year-old Demonte Chambers, who also resided at the home.
