In the early morning hours of August 3, 2023, the life of 35-year-old Tahesha L. Saunders was tragically cut short in Newport News, Virginia. Police responded to a report of a shooting on 33rd Street at approximately 8:40 a.m. Upon their arrival, they discovered Saunders outside a residence, suffering from at least one gunshot wound. She was pronounced deceased at the scene. The incident was immediately investigated as a domestic-related homicide.
