Montia Poindexter, a 23-year-old resident of Newport News, Virginia, tragically passed away on January 5, 2017. She was found deceased in her home on Marcus Drive, suffering from a gunshot wound. The discovery was made after police received a call about suspicious circumstances at her residence. Upon arrival, officers found the front door open and, after calling out with no response, they entered to find Montia Poindexter already deceased.
