In the summer of 2019, a tragedy struck the city of Newport News, Virginia, with the death of 15-year-old Ramisi Yarborough. The young Black/African American female was discovered deceased on July 13, 2019, inside an apartment located in the Denbigh area of the city. Compounding the heartbreak of her untimely death was the fact that she was eight months pregnant.
