In the early morning hours of April 7, 2023, the life of 46-year-old Kyna Chanele McGowan was tragically cut short in Newport News, Virginia. Police responded to reports of a shooting in the 3000 block of Madison Avenue at approximately 2:55 a.m. Upon their arrival, they discovered McGowan outside, suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
