In the Providence Park neighborhood of Richmond, Virginia, the evening of Friday, November 25, 2016, was shattered by the sound of a loud crash. Richmond Police officers, who were in the area for an unrelated matter, heard the noise and responded to the 600 block of Milton Street. Upon their arrival, they discovered an overturned white Buick sedan. Outside the wrecked vehicle lay the body of 17-year-old George M. Carrington III. The young man had been shot and was pronounced dead at the scene.
