On May 27, 2024, a tragic incident unfolded in Richmond, Virginia, resulting in the death of 24-year-old Lavaris Harris. The events began around 11:10 p.m. when Richmond Police responded to reports of a shooting in the 1900 block of Raven Street. Upon arrival, officers learned that multiple individuals had been shot and transported to VCU Medical Center by private vehicles.
