In the early morning hours of February 10, 2017, the life of 25-year-old Brandon Limar Williams, a Black male from Newport News, Virginia, was tragically cut short. The fatal encounter unfolded in the parking lot of TJ's Sports Tavern, located at 7015 Huntington Avenue. Williams was discovered inside a car around 12:45 a.m., suffering from a gunshot wound. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, but succumbed to his injuries less than an hour later.
