In the quiet Camelot neighborhood of Chesapeake, Virginia, the evening of February 15, 2017, was shattered by violence that resulted in the death of 18-year-old Lashorn A. Evans. Police were called to the 3100 block of Gaston Drive shortly after 9 p.m. following reports of an attempted home invasion that had ended in a fatal shooting. Upon arrival, they found Evans, a male from DeKalb County, Georgia, who had been shot and was pronounced dead at the scene.
