In the town of Danville, Virginia, a sense of unease settled over a neighborhood on Gay Street on the afternoon of Sunday, March 11, 2018. The Danville Police Department received a call reporting a disturbance at a residence, a call that would lead to a grim discovery. Inside the home, officers found the body of 29-year-old Robert Albert Irvin. He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds, and authorities immediately began a homicide investigation.
