In the city of Norfolk, Virginia, a grim discovery was made on the afternoon of May 15, 2018. Inside an apartment at the Crystal Lake Apartments complex, located in the 5500 block of East Virginia Beach Boulevard, the body of 43-year-old Breon Daughtry was found. Police had responded to a call about gunfire in the area around 2:40 p.m. and upon arrival, they found Daughtry suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Daughtry was a Black male.
