In the early hours of March 30, 2019, tragedy struck in Norfolk, Virginia, ending the life of 34-year-old Michael M. McGregor. Around 12:50 a.m., dispatchers received a call about a gunshot disturbance behind the Mona Lisa Restaurant and Bar on North Military Highway. When police arrived at the scene, they discovered McGregor suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite the efforts of emergency responders, he was pronounced dead at the scene before he could be transported to a hospital.
