In the late hours of May 27, 2019, a welfare check at a residence in Axton, Virginia, led to a grim discovery. Inside the home, law enforcement found the bodies of 38-year-old Thomas Richard Cioffa and 29-year-old Brittany Denise Cioffa. Thomas, a former resident of Auburn, New York, had been working at an auto dealership in Virginia at the time of his death. He was a father to two daughters.
