Thomas Richard Cioffa, aged 38, was found dead on May 27, 2019, in his home in Axton, Virginia. The Pittsylvania County Sheriff's Office responded to a call for a well-being check at the residence on Callands Road. Upon arrival, deputies forced entry into the home after receiving no response. Inside, they discovered the bodies of Thomas Richard Cioffa and his wife, 29-year-old Brittany Denise Cioffa, with a firearm located near their bodies.
