In the spring of 2017, the life of 17-year-old Tion Kwantae Burton was tragically cut short. On the night of May 28th, the young man from Axton, Virginia, was at a graduation party, a celebration of a significant milestone, when gunfire erupted. Tion was fatally wounded in the shooting, which also left two other individuals injured. Having recently graduated from George Washington High School in nearby Danville, Tion was on the cusp of adulthood, with plans to further his education.
