In the autumn of 2019, the life of Jamal W. Ellis, a 31-year-old Black/African American male, was tragically cut short in Richmond, Virginia. On the evening of September 22nd, officers were called to the 700 block of Spaine Street where they discovered Ellis suffering from a gunshot wound. He was quickly transported to a local hospital, but his injuries proved to be fatal, and he was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival. The cause of his death was determined to be a gunshot wound.
