In the winter of 2019, tragedy struck in Fredericksburg, Virginia, with the death of 34-year-old Jamil Washington. On the evening of December 14th, at approximately 9:00 PM, Fredericksburg police were dispatched to an apartment in the 1200 block of Kenmore Avenue following reports of gunfire.
