In the early morning hours of February 6, 2022, the life of 19-year-old Damien Joseph Lastrapes Jr. of Opelousas, Louisiana, was tragically cut short. The young man was attending a party at the Casey Hall, located at 107 Highway 3043 in the Opelousas area, when violence erupted. Just before 1:30 a.m., a barrage of gunfire shattered the night, with investigators later revealing that over 53 shots were fired at the scene.
