In the late hours of a Monday night in Chesapeake, Virginia, the promising life of 19-year-old Ashley James was cut tragically short. On March 2, 2020, inside an apartment on Montauk Lane, the young man, known to many as 'AJ,' was with another adult male when a handgun they were handling discharged. The single gunshot struck James, and despite the immediate response of emergency medical services, he succumbed to his injuries.
