In the spring of 2020, the vibrant life of 15-year-old La'Syiah Cimone Baxter was tragically cut short. A Black female known for her energetic and fun-loving spirit, La'Syiah was a freshman at Maury High School in Norfolk, Virginia, and had recently graduated from Norview Middle School, where she had formed strong, familial bonds with many of her friends.
