In the spring of 2016, a tragic event cut short the life of 20-year-old Casey Kayser, a female resident of Virginia Beach. On the evening of April 18th, Kayser and a companion, 33-year-old Jeffrey Stallings, were discovered inside a vehicle in the 5400 block of Ashby Street in Norfolk, Virginia, both having sustained gunshot wounds. The initial discovery was made by police officers who were responding to reports of a possible shooting in the area shortly before 10:00 p.m.
