In the quiet, early hours of a spring morning in Portsmouth, Virginia, the life of Oliver Windell Reid, Jr., a 54-year-old male, was brought to an untimely and violent end. On May 22, 2020, police were called to Princeton Place, a street situated across from Maryview Hospital. There, at approximately 2:50 a.m., they discovered Reid suffering from a gunshot wound to his torso. Despite any efforts to render aid, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
