Tony Lamont Deans, a 32-year-old resident of Portsmouth, Virginia, tragically lost his life on January 3, 2021. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning when Portsmouth police were called to the 20th block of Merrimac Drive around 12:13 a.m. Upon arrival, officers found Deans with a gunshot wound to his upper body. Despite the efforts of medics, Deans was pronounced dead at the scene.
