Deatrice D. Lawrence, aged 38, tragically lost her life on May 25, 2020, in Norfolk, Virginia. The incident occurred during a triple shooting on Dubose Drive, a residential area off E. Virginia Beach Boulevard. The shooting took place around 10:30 p.m. as a Memorial Day barbecue was concluding. When police arrived at the scene, they found Lawrence suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. Despite being rushed to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, she succumbed to her injuries.
