In the late hours of a Tuesday in Richmond, Virginia, the life of a young woman was tragically cut short. On April 6, 2021, Ashley Wilbert, a 21-year-old female, was found unresponsive in an alley in the 600 block of Wickham Street. Richmond Police officers had been called to the area around 11:53 p.m. following reports of random gunfire. Upon their arrival, they discovered Ashley suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite the efforts of first responders, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
