In the early morning hours of November 29, 2021, the life of 27-year-old Briana Whittaker-Oliver, a Black/African American female, was tragically cut short on a street in Richmond, Virginia. Around 5:27 a.m., Richmond Police responded to reports of random gunfire in the 3900 block of Chamberlayne Avenue. Upon their arrival, they discovered Whittaker-Oliver on the ground, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Despite the efforts of first responders, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
