On a Saturday night in May of 2021, the life of 26-year-old Scott Anthony Johnson, II, was tragically cut short in Richmond, Virginia. On May 15th, at approximately 10:25 p.m., police were called to the 2200 block of Williamsburg Road for a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered a male, later identified as Scott Johnson, II, outside an apartment, unresponsive and suffering from gunshot wounds.
Despite the efforts of emergency responders, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The medical examiner would later confirm that the cause of Mr. Johnson's death was a homicide. In the days following the shooting, Richmond Police Department detectives publicly identified Johnson as the victim and appealed to the community for any information that might lead to an understanding of the events that transpired that night.
