In the early morning hours of May 23, 2021, the quiet community of Parrott, Virginia, was disturbed by an act of violence that resulted in the death of Anna Quillen Amburgey, a 39-year-old White / Caucasian female. Deputies from the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office responded to a call around 4 a.m. concerning a possible homicide in the 8200 block of Parrott River Road. Upon their arrival, they discovered Anna Amburgey deceased at the scene.
