In the early hours of Father's Day, June 20, 2021, a burst of gunfire shattered the night in Richmond, Virginia, forever altering the lives of several people. In the 200 block of Crane Street, a quadruple shooting occurred, leaving 24-year-old Da’Vonta McLaurin with life-threatening injuries. Emergency services were called to the scene at approximately 1:27 a.m., where they found McLaurin suffering from a gunshot wound.
He was rushed to a local hospital for treatment.
Despite the efforts of medical professionals, Da’Vonta McLaurin, a male resident of Richmond, succumbed to his injuries in the days following the shooting. In addition to McLaurin, three other individuals were wounded in the same incident. These victims transported themselves to a nearby hospital for treatment of their gunshot wounds.
