Saul Alejandro Martínez Barrera, a 22-year-old resident of Richmond, Virginia, tragically lost his life on June 21, 2021. The incident occurred in the Southwood neighborhood, specifically in the 1400 block of Treehaven Drive. On that Monday evening, around 6:44 p.m., officers responded to a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered Barrera inside an apartment, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
