Officer George Gonzalez, a 37-year-old Pentagon Force Protection Agency officer, tragically lost his life on August 3, 2021, in Arlington, Virginia. Gonzalez was conducting a routine foot patrol at the Pentagon Transit Center when he was attacked without provocation by Austin William Lanz, a 27-year-old man from Acworth, Georgia.
