Amanda Jean Snell, a 20-year-old Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class, was found dead in her room at Keith Hall, an enlisted barracks aboard Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall in Arlington, Virginia, on July 13, 2009. Snell, who was a Naval Military Intelligence specialist, was discovered by her Navy supervisor after she failed to report for duty at the Pentagon the previous night.
