Dominique J. Brooks, a 20-year-old from Norfolk, VA, tragically lost his life on October 1, 2021. Dominique was a former standout football player at Indian River High School and attended Norfolk State University, where he studied Business Management. On the night of his death, Dominique was near the campus of Old Dominion University when he was fatally shot. The incident occurred around 9:45 p.m. in the 1000 block of 39th Street, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
