Michael D. Sturdivant, a 67-year-old resident of Norfolk, Virginia, tragically lost his life on August 24, 2021. The incident occurred in the 800 block of W. 42nd Street, where Norfolk Police Department officers responded to reports of a gunshot victim around 4 p.m. Upon arrival, they found Sturdivant suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. He was immediately transported to a nearby hospital, but despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries.
