In the late morning of November 5, 2021, a violent home invasion in Woodbridge, Virginia, claimed the life of 20-year-old Joseph James Harden. The incident unfolded on Renegade Court when two armed individuals forced their way into the residence. A confrontation ensued, escalating into an exchange of gunfire. When the shooting ceased, both Harden and one of the intruders lay dead.
The deceased intruder was identified as Zhabriell Antoine Perkins, a 20-year-old from Woodbridge. Authorities believe that Harden was the intended target of the home invasion, though a specific motive has not been publicly released. In addition to the two fatalities, a contractor who was working inside the home at the time of the incident sustained a minor injury during the altercation.
Following the deadly encounter, the second suspect managed to escape the scene, prompting a search by law enforcement. Several days later, on November 10, 2021, police arrested Julian Khari Graham, a 20-year-old from Woodbridge, in connection with the double homicide. Graham was subsequently charged with second-degree murder, burglary while armed, and the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. He was taken into custody and held without bond at the Prince William County jail.
