On the evening of November 24, 2021, the day before Thanksgiving, 46-year-old Lakisha Smith, a female resident of Portsmouth, Virginia, was tragically killed. The incident occurred in the Cradock neighborhood of the city, where Smith was discovered with multiple gunshot wounds to her upper body outside her home on Rodgers Place. Despite the efforts of first responders, her injuries proved fatal.
