On the evening of June 18, 2025, Alice Otealia Watson, age 43, was struck by gunfire during a double shooting along the 2100 block of Elm Avenue in Portsmouth, Virginia. Officers found two victims with gunshot wounds; 39-year-old Omar Tyron Evans died at the scene, while Alice Otealia Watson was rushed to the hospital, where she later died.
