Meaghan Burns, a 23-year-old Navy corpsman from South Deerfield, Massachusetts, tragically lost her life on May 4, 2019, in Portsmouth, Virginia. Burns was one of the victims in a double murder-suicide incident that also claimed the life of 19-year-old Shianne Soles, another Navy corpsman stationed at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth. The two women were found shot to death outside a 7-Eleven convenience store late that Saturday night.
